If the clubs response to the searches could be published before tomorrow's game,I would be greatful.

Weren't the questions put together by one member from fans posting them on here rather than the questions just coming from that one member?

Undoubted knowledge? Or just the application of common sense and using my brain?

Although the questions are designed to get answers to issues raised by many fans, an acknowledgment that it's not just a case of responding to questions that matters, rather that the Trust will represent supporters in an attempt to improve the situation.

As others have noted, it would have been good to see this addressed by the club ahead of tomorrow. or at least a timescale as to when we would receive the response,

It's been a couple of weeks since the meeting, a response was meant to be coming in "due course" on the Trust site. Any update on this ahead of the next home game? An answer to question 5 should be easy enough.

A reminder... this is what was sent to the Trust:
<<<<Please could the following be added to the agenda for your upcoming meeting. Also, in the subsequent report of the meeting could details be provided to members/supporters of what was discussed on the evening and what will be followed up with the club?

In December supporters raised concerns about the stewarding at Spotland and the recent changes regarding searching of fans entering the ground. Whilst fans appreciate that the club responded to this, there have been situations since which have led to some supporters showing great displeasure around what they are experiencing (please refer to the thread on the RochdaleAFC.com messageboard 'Replies from the club re. Ticketing and searches at games'). It's particularly concerning if it could affect whether fans are choosing to attend games/buy season tickets.

As part of the reply received in December, the following was stated:
"Our policy on searching is to try and not be intrusive, we are mindful of our senior and junior supporters and train our stewarding staff to be polite. Some of our stewarding staff are more comfortable conducting searches than others but we do train the staff in searching and our stewarding supervisors are encouraged to ensure a consistent approach to searching."

Could the Trust look into this situation on behalf of the members and supporters they represent to ensure the club release full details on their website about what exactly the policy is that has been decided upon? Could the following also be confirmed in light of the answers received previously:

1) Are all stewards aware of the exact wording of this policy? (please refer to what some fans have experienced in the messageboard thread mentioned above)

2) What has been put in place at the two games since the initial issue was raised to ensure that the stewarding staff not as comfortable in conducting searches are able to do so if required?

3) Why are fans experiencing different levels of searches in different stands?

4) Is the policy, that will hopefully be shared to increase awareness amongst the club's supporters, one which is a directive from the FA/Football League?

5) Are the Trust board concerned about this ongoing issue and what will be put in place to monitor fans' feedback going forward? >>

Were there any searches at Barnsley on Saturday?

I saw a woman having to open her handbag, but that's the norm at most grounds.

Did any other searching take place or is it just confined to Spotland?

Undoubted knowledge? Or just the application of common sense and using my brain?

Daughters bag was checked,no other searches at all.
Infact the only searches I have had this season have been at home games.

Hi TVOS.
I got searched (again) @ Barnsley. I must look like a hooligan!
I mentioned in the match thread that folk got turned away prior to the turnstiles without being searched. Their crime? They got out of a taxi that might've picked them up from the centre of Barnsley!
Our crime was that we went to the Barnsley o zone bar wearing colours and got welcomed in because the bouncer got allowed into the Dale bar a few months previously and had a good time.
Apparently they don't let away fans into that bar ever.

It's disappointing that despite the recent postponement, which gave the Trust and the club further time to respond to supporters concerns, that we're still not fully informed on the current policy with answers to the questions raised by the fanbase.

Because they don't care.

Maybe we haven't got to 'due course' yet. Is it before the clocks go forward?

Bit unfair. The whole of the Trust board are there to represent their members while still carrying on with their everyday lives. It's a thankless task. However the disappointing aspect is the lack of response so far to those questions that *could* be answered. Especially no.5.

Arnt some members of the trust board club employees ? therefore representing the club may not be the same as representing the fans ?? . Football club employees are NOT there to represent the trust members ,they are their to represent their employers.
You back the trust in one sentence then are upset they cant answer one of the questions ??

I wasn't referring to the trust, but to the football club in general.

I agree 442 but as I've said previously, I suspect when CG gave his initial response it was his first and last word on the subject. It was woefully inadequate, and that in itself is very disappointing coming from someone who is almost a byword for adequacy within Rochdale FC
