So,let me get this right.......the Scunny fans were allowed to leave and menace around with 20 odd mins to go? Why?........Simply don't let them out they were up for monkey business.

They then fart around on Wilbutts Lane for a while and finally decide to go BACK IN the Home end for a bit more sport and fisticuffs........Bizarre,who allowed this ?

Our Stewards in their One-Fitz jackets are useless and the Plod were taking videos of it all...again bizarre.

Not to mention drink bottles thrown on to the pitch from the Away lot.

and finally, at the end the Dale fans were not allowed to leave by the Sandy Lane exit to the Car Park till after the final whistle.

I should patent those One-Fitz jackets.

Steve Eyre said that Scunny were well worth their 2 goals!

Top football man is Steve Eyre!

Fred Eyre said Dale have been pleasure to watch for a number of years but had a bad patch when Keith Hill left to go to Barnsley. Seemed to realise part way through saying it, 'would that be when your son took over, Fred'?

I didn't!!!!!

But one of my "old lady" friends, who frequents the Sandy/Main Stand corner, has a lift waiting to whisk her away, was rightly upset that the Yellow Peril were adamant she had to stay........

No,I loved the end game!!!.......got my 6pennoth to that sod Bishop too,he was apoplectic to his defence in last few minutes.....great stuff.

That was very funny. There's a chance he got a text halfway through his analysis.

If you expect me to believe that there are cars queuing up to whisk old ladies from Sandy Lane off their feet then you must think I've been on the crack pipe!

There aren't many old ladies in the Sandy but I'd wager even the tide wouldn't take them out.

I thought I'd have a read of the Scunny Match report on their official site, to see their impression of us.

I wish I hadn't.

Scunny were on top throughout the first half and Joe Thompson's goal was a "sucker punch"

Scunny were back on top in the second half until "in what seemed a repeat of the first half, Rochdale struck against the run of play"

I gave up at that point.

There's also a bit of history at Dale of 'ladies frequenting the Main Stand/Sandy Lane/Pearl Street' corners!

Those same Scunthorpe fans who came in late were in trouble with the police outside Dali Bar at 2pm. Someone said they escorted them to the ground. Should have escorted them back to Scunthorpe.

I'm getting a bit fed up of these childish pricks that can't go to the match, cheer on their team, then go home. Why can they not behave themselves for 90 minutes without having to fight with someone?

Jack Dearden's commentary was notable for repeated reference to Calvin being sent off against Oldham.

Researching facts is so over-rated.

The old terracing beneath the hill, between the Pearl St/Main Stand was a place where certain ladies of notoriety in Rochdale used to frequent back in the 60s/70s, and they were getting on a bit shall we say...

(I was a young lad back then, I hasten to add)

Your description sounded remarkably similar, even if it was unintentional!

I sometimes used to enter the ground through the turnstile alongside the main stand and walk past the corner terracing towards the Pearl St

One balmy August evening there was a slight breeze...

I can assure you, I'm not making this up!

Absolutely. Anyone who still holds on to his past performances for us needs to realise they live now, not a few years ago!

Was beautiful to see Joey taking on full backs and beating them, his best game no doubt.

According to channel 5 programme , one of the reasons we are winning at home is the narrow pitch! Our pitch is 76 yds wide , Wembley is 75yds wide, Rochdales pitch is 39 sq yds bigger in area than Wembley!

Our pitch is one of the widest in the country.

It's almost a square.

The views of panellists are, with rare exceptions, not worth wasting time over. That includes MOTD. I've muted the sound between the action for some time now.
