When do we start worrying about McGahey?

I really hope he's fallen foul of the same illness as Raff because I can't deal with Canavan and McNulty in the starting line up next week.

No Williams either.

He's sitting with the other non playing members of the squad. I'm not worried, fully expect him to start v pompey. Bright start by Dale so far.

If we are playing a central back three, which is definitely an option with the players we have, then wouldn't McGahey be playing to get used to it if he was fit?

Bunney and McGahey both look bright. Calvin coming on 2nd half. For Kitching. We instantly look better

Created by rathbone. Great run and pulled the ball back to Davies who was unmarked and finished well

Although it may limit options off the bench, would definitely start with our most experienced front three next week. Andrew right, Henderson left, Davies central.

Well certainly he's seemed our only regular source of goals pre season - apart from that A Trialist at Chorley.

Its a BRILLIANT goal to cap a BRILLIANT start by Rochdale - Don Goodman 26/08/10

Dale' s goal has led a bit of a charmed life second half. Great defending by ntlhe when a goal looked certain. Poor finishing and woodwork saving Dale. Wouldn't want a canavan, Jim pairing too often. On the positive Andrew, rathbone, Davies all looked sharp and Adshead and Morley both had decent 20 minute runs.

It sounds like Rathbone's probably been our best player in pre-season, it could be a great season from him.

Think Raff will at least make the trip. Nothing worse than being at home stuck beside the mobile waiting for mentions of the blues again.

I know he prefers to have a left-footed centre-back playing but for me, Keane and McGahey is our best pairing - so my advice to Hilly don't think twice, it's all right.

All the goalmouth scares came after Allen/Camps subbed - thought Adshead/Morley (like all our youngsters) got outmuscled by Morecambe's older/bigger pros. Camps had some lovely touches & sees some great passes; Rathbone & Cannon were lively. Strange time to try out a new formation (back 3 / wingbacks) - seemed ok against lots of long balls from Morecambe, less secure when being run at. McNulty & Canavan solid (till substitutions), Keane struggled in the air (as always) but made some good tackles/interceptions later in the game. Ntlhe not as strong a performance as Tuesday but Lillis showed his shot-stopping strengths several times. Andrew/Davies combination worked for first 15 mins but then Andrew faded out of the game. Good to see Joe T & B, Williams, McGahey, Moore sat with the fans.

I am possibly going start a debate, I am a fan of Keane, but would you use in defence or midfield, personally I would go for a anchor midfield role and on a further issue, both Allen and Camps are excellent players, but I sometimes wonder if you can play Allen and Camps together in midfield.

May ask did Rafferty get any game time yesterday or not?
