The Official West Ham United Vs Swansea City Premier League Match Thread on 10:07 - Sep 29 by SPboy | Think we lost 2-0 there in the FA cup in 79. Ray Stewart their full back scored both goals. We had a right east end welcome that day. No segregation, little protection from the Met police, threatened with knitting needles strapped to arms of their fans & pelted by golf balls going back to coaches ... yes England beat Wales at Twickenham that day too. I have never seen us score at West Ham let alone get a point. London Stadium not known to be welcoming either, so with the measly 1200 tickets sold before general sale will give this one a miss |
Yes remember the cup match. No escort pre match (rare in those days!) so trouble all along route, a lot of West Ham (green bomber jackets!) attacking from back of our stand most of 1st half and streams of golf balls throughout game. Same story after game with fights and WH gangs attacking at will! Spoke to WH fan a few years later and he said in those days a lot of cops knew/were scared of local firms so didn't bother interfering. We had plenty of fans who stood their ground, but as a young teen in those days it was an eye opener how organised hooligans like WH/ICF made police loo like clowns. Today you'd have hundreds of banning orders just from that game!

The Official West Ham United Vs Swansea City Premier League Match Thread on 17:53 - Sep 29 by Darran | Well going by what I saw last week in our game and the West Ham highlights I can't see anything other that West Ham win. Saying that it's football and if we get it together we can get something. |
Sadly I see the same Darr but we can but hope ... If we get a point I'll be delighted but it will probably be yet another negative team performance and I blame Siggy & Nando ( for the benefit of Res) ..😉😉 So ; 5-3-2 Or 4-4-2 That is the question ??????? STID. Together Stronger 💪💪💪

Well Clement has said we need to win, which astonished me, so a cowardly formation and negative shitshow aint going to deliver that. Or maybe he is still in 'nick it from a dead ball' mode. Personally, I'll be disappointed if we dont see the Bony/Tammy/Ayew trident up our front to penetrate the weak hammer defence. [Post edited 29 Sep 2017 18:17]

It is quite possible to travel to support a team to the hilt even if you have a strong belief that they are going to be Donald Ducked.

The Official West Ham United Vs Swansea City Premier League Match Thread on 09:08 - Sep 30 with 3832 views | Jinxy | If the players have any pride we'll see a positive reaction, well at least moving into space to be available for a pass would be nice. I wouldn't be surprised to see Leon at least on the bench as a motivation for our midfielders (it's not just about his performance, but the effect he has on others albeit sad we need that/him still). Also, given his WHU connections he'll play his heart out (as he always does). Ayew will want to outdo his brother too. So, quietly confident (sips half full cup of tea...).

4 hours in to a 12 hour shift, I'll be missing this one (thankfully), so now we'll probably go and win 6-1!

I'm afraid I have to agree, we'll be easily out muscled and out played by a not very good West Ham team. Hope Carol's not playing, because if he is we're truly f*ked. Sorry to be such a pessimistic bugger, but that's how low in confidence I've become after watching that sh*te against Newcastle & Watford .
