Henderson v Whitehall 21:28 - Aug 18 with 2862 viewsTVOS1907

After today...

Ian Henderson 259 apps, 92 goals
Steve Whitehall 292 apps, 92 goals

When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf?

That’s an incredible stat as, I’m sure, those who saw Whitehall play would always subconsciously consider him the more prolific. I guess that’s just nostalgia.

How many times did Whitehall play RB?

I think Henderson has missed more penalties too.

And probably scored more!

Well he debuted wearing number 2, if that helps.

Not sure how comprehensive this list is, but I've got:

Henderson: Scored 20 penalties; missed 8 penalties
Whitehall: Scored 15 penalties; missed 4 penalties

Is this in all competitions? From memory (happy to be corrected) , Sir Reg Jenkins scored 129. Maybe just maybe, that record could be beaten?

I reckon quite a few of Stevie W' s appearances were as a sub or subbed off. Not so much Hendersons.

Was that Lance Key in net?

Memory tells me that he made a similar error at the pearl street end of the ground?

Or am I very wrong ??!

I wondered about this a couple of years ago

If he maintains his current strike rate and remains injury-free, he'd be approaching that total by the end of next season

If Henderson gets within 20 goals of Reg by the end of this season we will be in the play offs. I get your point though.

This is not the time for bickering.

was asking after the game - has Henderson ever got injured whilst with us? I know a few games have been missed through suspension but I can't recall him ever missing out through injury which is astonishing given how much work he gets through.

Something of a Ryan Giggs? Amazing what happens when you look after your body.

Edit. Hoping and praying you haven't put the commentators curse on him Col.

Yes, he was went off injured early on in the 1 0 win v Bolton in 2016/17 afrter a crude challenge by a Bolton defender which the ref decided didnt warrant a yellow card.
