Saints V Cardiff City The Verdict on 09:16 - Feb 11 with 436 viewsRon11

It cannot be denied that Shane Long is not only half the player he used to be, but also he just does not look interested.
Charlie is good for 20 -30 minutes.
Ings is a classy player but sadly injury prone.
Obafemi is not proven at this level and also injured.
Gallagher struggles at this level.
Elynoussi - no comment.
Saints had nearly 70% possession - with a half decent striker it would have been a routine win.
So why has the club not brought in another striker?

Classic Nick
"Without wanting to sound smug I have spent two years pointing out our deficiencies in defence"
F*ck me so has everyone else. The board hasnt recruited any decent centrebacks in that time.

From Saturday
Stephens is getting blamed for the winner. Yes he gave the ball away, but Bednarek had a great chance to head it clear and did the limpest header meaning the ball came straight back in.

For the first goal Vestergaard and Højbjerg both failed to jump for the initial header from the corner. Romeu then didnt track his player and they scored.

It dosent matter who plays the mistakes are in everyone of them.

We all know whats been needed for ages, the past two summers included
We have failed to address it and now we are paying
Its either trying to muddle through again or just looking to turn a profit neither of which looks good right now

Primarily looking to turn a profit, and stay in the prime revenue league.
This having got a few wage bills off the books as a bonus.

Another good point. Why are our prices one of the highest in the country, yet we have been paying to see an asset stripped team?
