What a time to do it. Fair play to the lads second half, I thought we were looking 3-0 defeat at best.
Getting a free kick lately is like in the days of Lambert or Le Tissier.

Who saw that result coming at half time?

I would love to know what Ralph said at the interval!

Absolute stunning result - it really is.

Love life. Love music.

Sims and to a lesser extent Long changed the game, completely unsettled them.

Sims was outstanding, breaking forward every time he got the ball

At half time, I could not see anything other than a 3-0 win or something like that for Spurs. We looked almost disinterested and not up for it at all in the first half - I cannot make out why we were like that. But, what a tremendous change for the 2nd half. We were a completely different side and all credit to the manager and the players for responding and sorting it out during the break. Some immense performances in the 2nd half - Sims, Valery and especially JWP - he is a different player under this manager. I still hope he does not get called for England though - for purely selfish reasons!

Beating Spurs at anytime is always welcome, but today, it was extra special. Such a pity that the other sides around us had a good day. It would have been nice to have created a gap. It makes me almost choke to say it, but need Liverpool to win tomorrow. Makes Brighton a huge game. 10 more points for safety. Strangely at one point I thought 37 points would do it this year but recently the bottom sides have all been collecting points (except Fulham and Huddersfield of course), so like Ralph himself says, we have to aim for 40 points.

Yoshida didn’t have a great game today, none of the the back 3 did. But that wasn’t helped by the all round chaotic and lethargic play from the rest of the side in the first half.
As soon as Sims and Long put us on the front foot it took the pressure off and the defence looked more assured.

They were singing “you’re shit”, “going down” and all that bollocks shortly before we equalised. Never a good idea to give it all that when it’s only 1-0

Ahem, who put the cross in for Valery's goal?
And then who got pulled back in full flight for the free kick that gave JWP the goal?

The most satisfying win this season. Spurs have been a real bogey team for us in recent years and their arrogant fans are the most obnoxious to come to St Mary's. So it was good to send them back to London as losers.

The other thing about today is from the depths of despair we seem to have dredged up a very promising future with a great manager and some exceptionally talented young players in Sims, Valery and Ward-Prowse. Today felt like a real turning point in the club's recent history.

Poll: Would you like a home 'kop' at St. Mary's directly behind one of the goals?

I have to agree, I fully expected us even st 2-1 up to draw or lose but it was a huge win. Young players coming of age, a real team spirt and a manager we all like. A defeat was what we were all expecting, however given the other results would have left us in the bottom 3. The fact we won and kept away from the drop zone with the best run in of all the other teams was very significant.

Just watching the highlights on MOTD.

The run that Armstrong did when he got fouled by Walker-Peters was phenomenal. A proper sprint.

Love the bloke.

I dislike their fans and their club intensely. What sort of football supporter spends a whole game filming themselves? It wouldn't be so bad if they came across as mildly intelligent but they looked like something out of the Inbetweeners
