Saints face uphill battle here Referee no friend of ours is Kevin Friend

If he gets injured fourth official Lee Mason, couldn't get a worse combination

Funny that isn't it .... now under the microscope of VAR he has to play fairly!! Having said that, he probably couldn't decide who to favour as neither a Top 6 club!!

Well he didn’t really have much choice. A red card that was as blatant a sending off as you’ll see and a VAR assisted disallowed goal which was for not one one but two infringements. Hardly like he gave us a a load of 50/50 decisions

It was amusing to see one of the reports claim the disallowed goal was a baffling decision. He was 5 yards offside, stood right in front of Gunn and also backed into him. It wasn’t even a discussion it should have been disallowed

As I said in the report, the officials now are scared to make decisions, they let VAR do it

Yep agreed, even blatant ones like that.

I just found is strange that one of the reports, can’t remember which one, said VAR ruled out another goal for Brighton with a baffling decision, it was anything but.

Valery was never the same after that challenge. I'm impressed he lasted as long as he did. I reckon he's got some rather painful bruising & swelling this morning. He's a lucky boy. A couple of inches higher & who knows what the outcome.

Love life. Love music.

I found it a bit of a worry that neither the Ref or The lino thought that either Gunn wasn't fouled or that the Brighton player wasn't interfering with play and therefore blatantly offside, and it needed VAR to decide for them

Oh and WTFwas it with the Brighton fans booing Valery for being on the end of a near career ending tackle. He didn't roll about or start ranting and raving ... well he couldn't move because the Brighton chap was still sat on top of him pleading innocence
