Is McLaughlin injured again?

Poll: Greatest Ever Dale Game

He was reported to be suffering from plantar fasciitis. Notoriously difficult to treat and can take a long time to put right.

Ah. I saw that mentioned in a thread and thought everyone was talking about Magloire.

Note to self: read more carefully. Always a failing...

If my experience of this is a typical, feel for the chap, its darn painful. For those who haven't experienced it the best way to ( if your intrigued) is to put half a dozen glass marbles in your shoe and take a run! And just as you get out of bed ensure you have a golf ball in your slipper. Sadly we being mere humans our bodies over compensate and the whole lower body muscular structure then starts to suffer.

On match thoughts I sense this may well be an early watershed of how the season will journey.

Not sure about that. Posh away is always a difficult fixture even when we've had good seasons. If we lose I won't read too much into it. A draw I'd be delighted a win and I might start getting a bit giddy, for a few days or so anyway. 😂

Perhaps I should give more clarity...........after the International break ...........and after the recent scrutiny of how DALE play (we know the postings no need to repeat) .....opposing teams and management have had time to plan to neutralise the way of play. In that respect it is a watershed....are we good enough (it is all relative).

A result / win and I will get giddy too!

'Technical problems', more than likely. In other words, it's shit.

Back now

In fairness it has been great this season especially with the addition of immediate replays of key moments.

Peterbourough had 1 great chance from a free kick otherwise not much in the way of chances

Always a risk with him but there's 1 goal Sanchez has cost us.

1-0 Peterborough

Well it had to happen at some time. Almost 10 minutes of all Dale possession but then overdid it with the fancy passing. Pass back to Sanchez who then tried to dribble it past the oncoming attacker and only succeeded in kicking it against him and into the net

We were well on top and they were getting frustrated. Horror goal but let's see if we can bounce back

Was he caught in possession by Toney, who then had a tap in?

Wait until you see it, it's a disaster. When the backless was played Toney was already running in so Sanchez needed to just put his foot through it

About 5 minutes earlier he played a very high risk pass out which came off so perhaps he was over confident

It hasn't knocked us out of our stride & we are still playing pretty well. Don't think we have tested the keeper yet but it's a decent game.

It’s happened a few times this season and we’ve got away with it previously. There needs to be clear distinction as to when it’s safe to play and when it isn’t. Unnecessary risks are just that and eradicating them doesn’t mean we have to change our style.

We have had 72% of the possession according to sky.

FFS

Big Jim tried to see it out for a goal kick but then tried to clip one down the line. It was intercepted & a few passes later a cross and header into the net made it 2-0. Again a suggestion that Jim could have just tried to clear it into their half. Crazy scoreline really as we are playing well but it shows that this passing game may struggle against higher quality pressing team. Not saying we should change it but we need to know when to pass it clear, and when to go for row Z

edit: just seen 442 reply which mirrors mine.
