Doesn't look like Liverpool away will even make Membership + 12:05 - Jan 7 with 2215 viewsericofarabia

10 tickets left now and at STH's with no away games.

What an absolute disgrace by the club. A big % of the away support is the people who coughed up for Membership+ and Membership, to ensure getting tickets for games like this

If that was the case then why don’t they put the away tickets on restricted general sale - you have to have a purchase history etc?

Also a couple of things we are never going to take more then 2000 for burnley for a normal league game and also Burnley do not spilt the away allocation all teams get just over 24000 tickets.

They say we never sold out at Aston Villa this despite them saying it was sold out on the website ? Also by taking the full 3000 or do for Aston Villa 1500 extra Saints fans got the chance to go.

No one is saying we will sell out every away game it’s about giving more fans the chance to go wether they be season ticket holders , members , or just Saints fans .

How much did the club lose or unsold tickets for Villa £500 ? Wow we justification in there eyes then for only taking smaller allocations ?

The club still haven’t explained why they never put the extra Wolves tickets on sale until 2 days before the game and then didn’t even announce they were in sale.

Also home games don’t sell out ( if at all) until it gets to general sale so maybe we should give away teams more then using the clubs logic ?

The real truth is that the club just don't want to risk losing any money. It is that kind of business like regime directed from Gao downwards. They are not bothered if a few fans miss out on an away game as long as they don't lose any money - that's what it comes down to.

Received further correspondence regarding away ticket sales. Southampton had the option of taking 1100, 1800 or 3000 tickets for Liverpool. There was no negotiation on taking say 2200. With that in mind the club took 1800. SFC stated that had the game gone on general sale, a number of Liverpool fans would likely have bought tickets in the away end. It was stated that when we take 3000 tickets, the game always goes to general sale before usually not selling out - Burnley away given as the example. It was stated that even Villa didn't sell out until the Friday before the game and in fact didn't totally sell out.

This still doesn't really explain why we took such a low allocation for Leicester, but I can see the difficulties I suppose.

Imo, and most likely others, we should be looking to take the highest allocation for around 15 of the away games as only Burnley, Everton, Newcastle and Man City will not attract maximum numbers travelling.

The cash loss on not selling out for any of these 15 would surely be minimal, and a good PR exercise giving others a chance to travel, It's not as if SFC are even taking a chance on £50 tickets, like the old days, with the £30max now.
How they come up with taking 3000 to Villa, but 1300 to Leicester (both pretty much 150 miles away) is baffling really.

Looks like they've seen taking the small allocations to Leicester and Palace are mistakes, as 3000 have been taken for West Ham which go on sale next Tuesday.
See what happens the rest of the season

West ham can't split their away end so all clubs get 3000 tickets.

This is due to the upper and lower levels sharing the same concourses.

You are right though the club would not lose that much money over the course of a season.

Going forward.

Norwich is a dificult one as we have never travelled that well prevously so expect 1300 out of an maximum alocation of 2400 - though it would be nice if the club took a chance.

Watford do not split the away allocation which i think is around 2200.

Everton the 1800 allocation out of the maximum 2900 will be plenty.

Manchester Utd we normally take on a Saturday 2500 out of the maximum 3000 allocation wich is fair enough.

Bournmouth dont split their away allocation of 1300.
