Amazing! Give him a knighthood. Whilst some people’s contribution to the lock down is to troll on social media, this 99 year old has raised a fortune for health careers. Puts many people to shame.

Amazing how this snow balled. As others say - he should be knighted. You can only imagine what it would mean to him.
What % does just giving take from the pot?
Sadly, knowing the way we hand out gongs to those undeserving, the best he will get will be a special mention in the queens speech and a nicer than standard 100th birthday card from her Maj. He may get an MBE, but being he is not a rock-star, sportsman or gay rights activist or similar, he stands little chance of becoming sir Tom.
The only bad air around here is you guys farting around.

Knowing the bureaucracy in 2020 Britain these days - he'll probably get a bill from his local healthcare group for needlessly wearing out his walking frame before its lifetime.

I don't think that matters Ollie. People with MBEs are the real heroes in this country, not the Sir bloody Coldplay and Sir bloody Camp TV Presenter, and Dame bloody Civil Rights Activist, When I meet somebody with an MBE there is inevitably a story of a worthy person doing something for others. WHen you get a knighthood now it's for doing something for yourself.
