Controversial possibly but it’s just an opinion. With notable mentions for Alan Tate who slotted in at right back superbly when needed and Wyndham Evans. Both playing in all four divisions.

Underrated by who?

He got more than his fair share of grief during his time here. Not sure I’d be able to find it now, but people on here were having a go at him around the time of promotion and into the first half of our PL years. Now he's rightly seen as a legend, but it wasn't always that way.

It's probably a minority though - I think most understand how good he was and what he gave to this club.

The odd div on here throwing their toys out of their pram, doesn't equate to him being underrated. He is one of the most loved players of the modern era.
