To avoid as much controversy as possible, I'll give you every statue of Churchill, Wellington and Florence Nightingale, and all sport related statues too.

Other than these, what are your Top 3 UK statues deserving of 16-pint protection?

I'll start:

1. Thomas Paine in Thetford.
2. Allenbrook in Whitehall
3. George Loveless in Tolpuddle

I love the statue of the old lady pulling the book out of the wall outside Bitterne library. I don't think the BLM protesters could find any offence in that, which is good because I doubt if the football lads would be able to locate a library.

The Tom Finney statue at Deepdale is really good with the sprays of water, just like the famous photo.

The old commies knew how to build a big statue. The Motherland memorial in Volgograd always looks impressive on TV.

Possibly the greatest statue worldwide. Bonus points for it looking like my granny.

I prefer statues to the taken for granted or the real common heroes whether that be the marines in the War Memorial in skate or the unknown fireman outside Glasgow rail station

For persons in this country I would chose

3 Far sighted visionaries, all white men but tough...

1. King Alfred in Winchester.......A great statue to a truly great leader who transformed and liberated his people from a time when Kings held onto their position far more on merit. When I see this statue I know I am 'home'
2.Karl Marx. Yes him. Love him or loathe him he described the world and still is in far sighted ways that are relevant to this day.
3. Ted Bates. A football club in one man, represented decency in a game that even when he was at the helm was beginning to lose its way. Plus it represents the pros and cons of fan power so a talking point by its current forms existence.

I think you'll find there is a Des O'Connor brigade intent on having a go at the mighty Mr Morecombe

I like the way they've made the statue look more attractive than the real thing

Saints' defence is statuesque at times.
Don't love them it has to be said.

I don't understand. How can you possibly feel any sense of Cornish pride without a statue or two to revere (and protect from time to time)?
