"When will Premier League 2020-21 fixtures be released?
Premier League fixtures are normally released approximately two months before the season is due to begin, but that will not be the case for 2020-21.

No date has yet been confirmed by the Premier League for the fixtures release, but it is likely that the schedule will be announced in the middle or end of August, ahead of the start date of September 12.

Either way, it gives a relatively short space of time for teams to sort their preparations and for broadcasters to make arrangements for coverage of games.

In normal circumstances such a short timeframe would make things quite difficult for many supporters in terms of the logisitics of getting to games, but it is less of an issue due to the fact that games will be played behind closed doors."

I would expect that when they start letting spectators back in the ground the away fans will be the last to get any access

There tends to be a certain pattern with the scheduling of games.

SKY will ensure that the Liverpool v Man City games are played quite a long way into each half of the season to ensure they get as high a viewing audience as possible.

Derby matches will very rarely be allocated in the opening weeks of the season, as SKY / BT figure that any match will get a high audience in the first week or two, as they figure that the viewing audience will watch any old tripe when they’ve had no football for a while.

Expect Liverpool / Man City to be playing newly-promoted sides in the first week. SKY / BT think that is the best chance of a shock result. We will probably be playing a team near us in the table in the first week, somebody like Burnley or Palace.

It’s all on spreadsheets.....

Poll: If we win a play-off semi at St. Mary’s should there be a pitch invasion?

You’re not saying that....the fixture list is rigged in some way are you? That the FA could Somehow be complicit or incompetent?!

of course, Sky's money will ensure a couple of 'super sundays' in there with a couple of big monday night (or what ever slot they have) fixtures

Poll: Who is responsible for Liverpool's defeat?

It’s pretty much the same pattern each season.

Expect Liverpool and Man City to play each other in November and March.

Hopefully they will leave some of our decent away games until a later time of the season when it may be safe for away fans to attend. On this basis, I hope the first game of the season for Saints is away to West Ham.

I think I saw Aug 23 quoted somewhere, but that is a Sunday so maybe 24th?

Start date of Sept 12 but the kicker is International Matches being played from 5th to 9th, so basically most clubs final pre season preps are well anfd truly buggered up.

Add into the equation the transfer window continues till late Oct, adds a large degree of uncertainty to squad depths etc if you get big clubs making offers and unsettling players. Glad Spurs have shown their hand early doors and looks like Hoj should be finalised soon.

All in all it could be a messy early few months, and little chance of us attending any games for a long while yet, and The goodwill gesture of showing every game on TV expired at the end of the season. Dodgy stream requests ahoy
