I think we are on 10% sell on fee unless I am misremembering re Eze at Palace. Re Sterling sadly we have had our money from him. I think we got about £11m in the end which isn't bad for a player who never played a first team game for us. I think Sterling has become a really fantastic player who has turned his personal life around too. With Ebs if he gets back to playing as we know he can play the sky is the limit for him.

It was reported at the time we sold Eze to Palace that there was a 20% sell on fee.

| Raheem Sterling on 22:17 - Nov 26 with 4676 views | Loftgirl | As it's QPR, we will probably have to give the original fee back. | | | |
| Raheem Sterling on 16:48 - Nov 27 with 4252 views | LazyFan | We should send Gray back and get Eze on loan. We need Eze in case Willock or Chair get injured. Back to Sterling, he should go to Madrid. They would love him over there. | |

Fitter still though than most of our wingers. Chelsea paying him £325k a week to do nothing since May 24, can’t they lend him to us for three months just to see if he can prove himself worth a buyer? | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Yeah, I reckon this is just what this team needs at the moment. The SWP experiment worked so well, lets bring in a player with no interest in playing football in the twilight of his career to "help" all our younger pros see what they can get out of the game. Having someone around the training ground earning x10 more than anyone else can only be good for morale can't it? This ^^ is the exact opposite of what QPR should be doing as a club, please lets stop talking about it

Although I agree we shouldn't be entertaining the idea, I am not quite sure what Raheem has ever done to earn such vitriol. How do you know he doesn't want to play football? Pretty sure he would love to be picked to play. And obviously if he did agree to go and play in the Championship that would show he does want to play football? I don't see why he would be a negative influence on a dressing room, just because he earn(ed) huge money. He started off at a club like ours and worked his way right up to the very top. Something to aspire too for the youngsters, I would imagine. He's had a cracking career and we played at least a little part in that. He also earned us a huge sell-on fee. But no, as much as it would liven up a potentially boring end to the season, don't really see it would work bringing him back!

You are right of course. I think my anger should be directed at those clubs offering long contracts on massive wages for a player they aren't going to use. It's not Raheem's fault, anyone would sign up to that deal. I remember seeing some video of Scott Carson mucking around in the dressing room for City and everyone saying how great it is to have a "character" knocking around keeping spirits high. It just blows my mind that clubs will spend millions for these cheerleaders to be around the first team, but never play! Ultimately I'm jealous!

Jester’s uniform should be compulsory for any fit player who hasn’t made it on the pitch in six months.

If he wanted to be playing football then he would have had numerous opportunities to do so over the last few years by going out on loan or agreeing a termination deal with Chelsea. Money is clearly more important to him which is understandable given the eye watering sum Chelsea are wasting on him every day: fair play to him but he certainly doesn’t deserve any sympathy.

That's your guess, Ned, and maybe it's right. Of course he doesn't need any sympathy, I was just saying that there isn't any hard evidence that he is a bad egg or would be one in a dressing room.

If this did happen (luckily it wont) Imagine I'm Poku, Saito or Dembele. Am I going to feel inspired if someone turned up on loan to take my place in the squad on x10 more than me a week, stopping me from playing/developing, for what? Maybe QPR finish two or three places higher? Its a lose lose from my point of view, but what do i know?

poku terminally injured dembele terminally lazy saito plays on the left hand side finish two or three places higher more money in the bank. whos saying hes going to wanting stupid money , when he taalks about rangers hes always thanked us and the coaching staff at the time for helping him make it and become sucessful , club used to pick him to tke him to training most of the time due to his mum working 3 jobs , hes not a bad egg

Unfortunately Poku and Dembele are our players, so we should probably try and get them fit, develop them and play them. As good as our track record is with getting legends back into the club, maybe we stop talking about this one in case someone from the club sees the kids talking on social media and also thinks it might be a good idea.

Whilst it would be a Fairytale, Roy of the Rovers kind of thing - Going full circle back to your roots playing for peanuts etc.....I'm not so sure it would be the right thing. Could it upset the dressing room which does seem the best it has been for ages. When I look at the car park in the school on match days now there are no Ferraris, Lambogenies or Bentleys.......Do we need a "Flash Harry" in the squad?
