Hopefully these sick, world ruining f*cks don’t get to travel very easily to other countries this year, and if they do, they are made to feel very uncomfortable wherever they go.

A requirement of countries should be to make anyone coming over from Russia to wear Ukraine tops or a t-shirt with Putin with a big cock drawn on his head.

If they refuse to do this they should be denied entry. That sick f*cking nation need to realise what a disgrace it is. Have the genocide supporting bastards been kicked out of London yet or are they still strolling about?

Poll: Who do you feel most sorry for

A mate went to Hurghada in Egypt for a week's hols at the end of Feb.

His hotel was 75% full and he said the split was about 33% Russian, 33% German, then the rest was made up of Brits, Ukrainians (!!), Yanks, Dutch and Egyptians.

Nothing went off between guests whilst he was there and this other couple they spoke to from Brighton said that they had chatted to a few Russians and they had said they were sorry for the war, didn't like Putin and were staying in Egypt for a month in the hope that the war would end before the returned home. They then joked that if the war was not over, it may take them longer to get home to St Petersberg, as the would have to fly around Ukrainian air space !!

Labelling all Russians the same because of Putin is just as myopic as saying all Germans are evil because of Hitler. There are good and bad people everywhere, yes, here too. I expect there are plenty of people abroad who think that the English are morons because of football hooliganism experiences. There are plenty of Russians interviewed on the news who are anti Putin and against the war. They are stuck with Putin, just as we are stuck with Johnson for another 2 years, but at least we are able to vote him out, something those against Putin in Russia cannot do. Speak out against him and you could end up beaten up, in prison or even dead.

You are right, when a western reporter interviews a Russian on the streets of Moscow, what does he expect him to say ? If he slags off Putin he will soon be arrested.

Im sure there are some russians who genuinely support Putin and the war, sorry Special Operation against Ukraine, but most are probably too scared to say anything for the safety of themselves and their family

It's a very fine line - SOG, you are 100% right. It's never black and white.

However, we need to be massively ramping up sanctions against the state of Russia and those who support it either actively or tacitly - military officers, people in the media, people running state owned businesses, oligarchs and their families, politicians and their families. Change will only happen from within.

It's also worth bearing in mind that a minority of Ukrainians are hard right nationalists. No nation is all good or bad.

If they are made to wear clothes with a picture of putin and a knob growing out of his head, and the words “genocidal gimp” scrawled across it; that should be fine with the ones that are anti war then.

The way to turn the the people against him properly is make them see Putin has ruined the privileges they can enjoy. The robot Russian dickheads that have been spending money in the Prada shops and trying to push in at the front of food queues in beach resorts is one place to start.

War affects us all, I believe penis headed t shirts in tourist resorts are the answer to the world’s problems. Let’s ridicule, via message board, everyone with a different belief to ourselves, isn’t that what the likes of yourself are into?

Ok, put me down for an XL and a medium/small for Mrs SOG.
While you have the bit between your teeth, can you think of something to help deal with the millions of Japanese tourists with selfie sticks who invade all cultural sites like a plague of locusts at this time of year?

And Chinese and S Korean. My wife, friends and I were pushed away from a viewpoint in the mountains in Norway so they could all get their selfies. There were two elderly Norwegian ladies on the train who were using very loud, undiplomatic and un ladylike language about them all (in Norwegian, so little chance of the interlopers understanding).

During 15 years of living and working in Ukraine up to 2020, the only fanatic minority I ever met were staunch Russia /Soviet Union 'kill 'em all' lunatics, who wore the black and orange 'z' on May 9th
Other than those people I never met any 'hard right nationalists', "fascist' is in fact a dirty word in Ukraine, but the actions of Russia in Ukraine today are no different to that of the Nazis in world war 2.

They are different , they are worse .
As Vladimir Klitschko said.
"Russia needs Ukraine but they don't need Ukrainians,"

The vast majority of Russians are either scared to speak out, or are just fed nonsense via the state owned media about Ukraine posing a threat to their security.
Easy for us to take it out on them when we don't face any consequences for our free speech.
Even Russians soldiers don't seem to know what they are doing there.
For me the real villains are Putins inner circle who might disagree with him but just 'follow orders'. And of course Putin who seems to be completely deranged. I'm not sure that humiliating Russian tourists is going to be helpful in any way though.

Nick, you are right. There was a documentary on the radio a few days ago from Lithuania, covering a music festival. Of the Russian speakers, the middle aged and elderly were overwhelming in their support of the hardline approach Putin is enacting. They saw themselves as Russian/Lithuanian. The young were against the invasion, and saw them selves as Russian speaking Lithuanians.

I guess one of the reasons that Putin felt a need to act, is that the older ones will dwindle, and the younger, Ukranian supporting population will come to dominate in the areas that were formerly pro Russia, and there would be no mandate to act.

Regarding the post below, yes, unless the ordinary people are inconvenienced, they have no reason to buck the party line. If the EU banned Russian tourism, then they would know for sure that supporting Putin has approbation and a cost. Of course, the southern European countries would be against this because they want the cash, and would rather take the cash than make a principled stand.
