So many questions arn't there. How will Ralph feel about a talented coach putting across his ideas. Can Ralph overrule him if he doesn't agree? Presumably the new coach is here to help and that means advising Ralph with his ideas. Not sure Ralph will like it or perhaps they will get on like a house on fire. Who knows. Whe Ralph had Danny Rohl, he seemed to be consulting him all the time and bouncing off him, he didn't have that with the three departed coaches, I think Ralph will relish having some experience in the dug out, but the crucial thing is who the next two announced are |  |

Notice they called him "New First Team Lead Coach". It sounds more than just an assistant to me. Isn't Ralph the first team "lead coach"? When I suggested this might happen earlier I got a lot of stick from certain quarters but it does look like he could well be lined up as an eventual successor to Ralph. Don’t know if this is true but have read that he was Ralph first choice for this role. Good to see the club quietly going about their business. We may not have a fortune to spend but there is no reason that we can’t compete at a reasonable level if we get the right people in. |  | | |

That's great but I believe our problems go deeper than this. Team selection, tactics and substitutions are, for me, our biggest weaknesses while Ralph remains in charge. | |

Who knows Ron? But the fact that the whole coaching set up is going to change had to be a positive. Whatever you think of Ralph, he is no fool. He knows that results have to improve. I don’t know why we had the coaching set up we did, perhaps due to lack of finances, but I never got the impression that he had much faith with them despite what he said. The way that basic defensive errors were never dealt with was also a major concern. Hopefully the new coaching team will be able to help Ralph sort out the problems that were so clearly evident in our poor end to the season. | | | |
