Andy Holt has written an open letter to the EFL, demanding that Accy are released from the iFollow agreement... its pretty strongly worded to say the least.

It'll be interesting to see if anyone else follows suit now.

I should imagine the info that was being put on social media that Bolton made £500k off iFollow last season riled him up somewhat.

Reading down the Twitter thread it had received mixed reply’s for those that don’t do Twitter…

Main points are exiles denied a chance to watch games and also questioning the point it would sell more match day tickets??

I can really see their points in some ways though..

Companies making money off smaller clubs, it’s a shame we can’t have “Dale TV”…

Speaking of Accy, this is a pretty decent read - we get a mention in there too.

He makes an excellent point that the 'big' clubs, like Bolton and Sunderland who say that they deserve more money because they have more fans, would immediately expect the same money as Liverpool, Man Utd or Man City should they get back into the EPL, cos all should be treated the same up there.
They can't have it both ways.

As per usual the money goes to those who have the biggest budgets. More rewards for clubs who exceed what they can afford at the espense of those who live within their means. Without the Rochdales and Accringtons there is no EFL, they feign to be worried by the loss of Bury and Macclesfied but continue to starve the smaller clubs by their supplication to the Championship clubs who get more votes and bigger shares of the income than the rest. This whole system simply encourages the chancers to get involved, to buy clubs , to overspend and to play the EFL game of giving more to those that have the most. At least Andy Holt has the gumption to call them out but I bet they don't like it.
