How can anyone be more worried!? We’ve only lost Long and Forster (nether of which were prem quality and both were well old), yet have made many decent signings. So at worst people could say that they’ve got the same sorta feelings, but how anyone can say they feel worse and think that we’ve had a poor transfer market is just mind baffling

Not when you consider that, once again, we've failed to address acquiring a top quality centre back/leader on the pitch... you know, like the days of Killer, Fonte, Van Djik, etc.

Forster and Long are experienced Prem players.
Forster will do a good job at Tottenham as and when he is called on.
None of the new signings have played in the Prem, to my knowledge.
They MIGHT be very good signings. In likelihood, at best one or two will be.
I would hold out most hope for Bazunu and Lavia.
But as things currently stand, we have far from strengthened. As I suspect the first few results of the season will show.

You have also neglected to mention that we have lost Broja.
We have zilch goalscoring threat unless and until he is replaced.
I struggle to see us getting in Tottenham’s penalty area at all on Saturday.

Ok but then wouldn’t it be the same feeling then, not a worse one?

We also lost Broja. Tella is injured too. All we have up front is Adams who is rumoured to be sold and Armstrong in the whole entire club. We have also have a 20 year old to be developed from France. We conceded loads of goals last season and lost 10 in a row, and have only brought in one defender, a young inexperienced centre back. We have brought in numbers but has the quality improved? In other words, we need a quality, dangerous striker up front? Have we got one? At least we had Broja last season. We also need an experienced leader at the back who will make the difference. Have we got one? We know the answer so we are possible weaker this year without Broja, Forster and Long.

I would feel worse as it is blatant negligence on the part of management across the club to allow this situation to continue.
The truth is nobody really knows how good these kids are. Bazunu sounds promising and could make a big difference if he’s actually picked ffs. Ketchup looks decent but will the premier league be too early for him ? Aribo is quality he will create and score goals. We won’t know how good these players are until a month or so and I’m pretty sure we’ll buy another striker at the end of the window.
