It's surprising how many lowly ranked teams and unknown players have reached World Cup semi-finals. Morocco continue that trend. Some of the third place play-off lineups are anything but a who's who of world football, like Sweden v Bulgaria in 1994 and Turkey v South Korea in 2002. The Netherlands are usually in the semi-finals though and being a small country, usually have a few lesser known players like Clasie to make up the numbers. |  |
