It gives me no joy to know that I made the right choice to wait until Christmas to decide on renewing my ST. I was pretty sure this would happen. Ankerson is a fraud of a football club executive, Martin is a fraud of a manager imho. The squad has no backbone or strength of character. Out midfield and defence is an utter shambles, and the attack remains woefully inadequate. It would appear that most of the club staff are out of their depth, like the players. |  |

We had a good start to the season and I felt slightly optimistic but tonight was just diabolical. RM said last week's defeat won't happen again and it has. Last year after Grimsby, the nine Nils, last week and now tonight. This sorry story of embarrassment and defeat just goes on and on. And never play Leicester on a Friday night. | |

That's where the problem comes. These owners will not appoint an experienced, sensible and sound manager who has been there and done it. They would just appoint another up and coming manager "with potential". The owners are the issue and until they go, it's not going to change. Besides, we are already paying off the other two, so they won't be paying off another 3 year contract. | |

Hold on, seriously, the manager of Winchester City, Craig Davis, is superb - coping with next to nothing budget ( unlike most of the other teams in that league) and taking City to the Southern Prem for the first time in the club's history. I bet he could do a much better job than Martin, given the resources and support.
Having watched closely professional and non-league football for 50 years, there are definitely much better managers out there at non- league level. Martin is way out of the 'league' Saints want to and should be in (like Nathan Jones) and barely any common sense or genuine football intelligence in ratio to an abundance of vacuous bravado and superfluousness.
Davis would change defensive personnel and tactics whereas Martin seems incapable ( as did the last two managers) of doing that and mindlessly, and arrogantly, ploughs on with a failed misunderstood pseudo-Guardiola strategy and tactics.
I can't see Martin being able to conceive a radical change and around Christmas I predict the idiot, and his gumbies, will be sacked. So us Saints fans have to suffer the same as last year. Perhaps until we get relegated again because there's only one way SR are going. | |

I cant quite grasp the fact that the club sells 150million plus worth of players , and expects to compete or challenge for the play offs ? We are fu.cked everyone in this league knows how to play against us .
There will be plenty of these heavy defeats to come . Tip tap toe wins nothing , actually attacking and shooting ala the foxes and Sunderland do.
We were lucky it wasnt 9 again . And to concede before one minute is on the clock a second game running ?! It is simply Embarrassing. |  |
