The hard medicine finally being swallowed? 21:58 - Dec 2 with 1621 viewsBillyChong

7 years of decline. ‘Next level’. Hard medicine?’ as the owners said a few years back. It’s been slowly diluted by selling the family silver. Multiple additions have been added to the random 27 or so in the first investment group. 20+ who’ve never stepped foot in Swansea. Another possible 20 since hiding behind a LLC in America.

7+ years of good players being flogged off to be downgraded for significant profits. None of which are properly reinvested in the squad. Loanees who aren’t up to scratch. If they are, we don’t see the long term benefit.

Who’s left to sell? Wood? His value has dropped. Duff? No one is going to poach him and offer compo, the yank model is predictably hitting a wall and the club should be worried. It’s been coming without any obvious contingency. Piroe £10m for Yates £2.5m. What do they do when there’s no star to sell.

People are getting wise, but they will still be many who have got their blinkers on.

We have been banging on about this for months, at least those with sense can see through the rouse.

Years not months. It’s been coming.

Great post 👏🏻

Jenkins et al got away with it by the skin of their teeth. I’m still unsure how. The Trust had an opportunity. Why didn’t they go for it?

Well, that’s for them to answer, however, speaking to numerous Swans fans this week they are determined to keep focussed and remain on top of it this time. 👍

What is your gripe?. The US people are investing. It is the Welsh who are hiding not them Their money is in the club helping to pay the bills. The Trust has a million on account doing nothing but devaluing.

Clearly exchanging Piroe for Yates was not great business but there is £7.5m spare from that trade with another £6m to come. We are told there is money to spend. A powerful centre forward with presence is required. Piroe needed to be replaced by the next Piroe as player just as good but younger. Fletcher?

Watson is the head of recruitment and the signings are mid table signings Tymon Pederson Yates. Not inspirational at all. Njoe and Kukharevich are notionally for the future. Then there are the five loans who will not be here this season so have no developmental value.

Swansea s problem has always been recruitment. Watson has to do better than this and spend. Sims does not even play for Coventry. They spent £7m on him so there are serious pitfalls.

Swansea must drop the loan "doping". It gives a short term boost but leads to long term depression. Wilson, Congreve, Fletcher Lissah are doing great. These guys need developing. Azeem seems to be liked but before his injury was played out of position. He can replace flat footed Fulton now,
