Not just put it in the box but why not have a go and belt it on goal? We've seen long range shots trouble goalies or go in (as per Denmark's goal) so maybe there's something about the ball that does this. So, have a fking go. That shot of Palmer on the bench towards the end of the game, sheer frustration on his face, sums it up. The most in-form striker we have next to Watkins and he hasn't seen a minute. Players played in the wrong position. The abject TAA experiment must surely be over, but Gallagher isn't the answer.
He's got some of the most talented players in Europe at his disposal and we've just seen that rubbish.

Itโs important to acknowledge that indeed much of the vitriol Southgate gets is overblown and unwarranted.

I simply cannot believe Palmer has not played 1 second so far and should be on before Bowen or Gallagher and even Eze going off his form for Chelsea.
Every team needs players who are in a good run and Palmer is doing that all year IMO.
Putting on Eze in this situation helps us ( cash incomming ?) but wont be much benefit to him IMO but England held on and have 4 points and still going to top the group | | | |
