Every tackle by an English player is given a yellow card. At this rate, unless they stop tackling altogether, there's going to be a red card. Didn't this ref cause a riot at a Turkish league game?

Something like that, yes. England play with so much fear.

England play so slowly they look like they'd prefer a game of walking football. They never take one touch when they can take two. It's always stop, take two touches, then pass slowly to the side, repeated until it reaches the other side of the pitch. Then it's passed back across the pitch again until it reaches the side where it all started. If anyone breaks the pattern and passes the ball forward it goes to a Slovakian player because the other English players aren't expecting it so they all stay in a line waiting for the next sideways pass.

They need to get Cole Palmer on as he'll run forward and score by himself if nobody will help him.

1-0 down, being run ragged, giving ball away, but its not all bad, we have 70% possession !!

We have a striker who thinks he is playing in mid field or on wing.

opponents have more attempts in their small amount of possession.

Any of this sound familiar ?

Its well documented that I am no fan of Stephens, but throughout the season, he was criticised when we needed a leader on the pitch. Captain Kane has almost gone into hiding, yet you rarely see any criticism of his captaincy. Perhaps the players cant hear Kane from the side lines ?

As the other England players don't pass forward into the penalty area, Kane has been cut off from the game. I guess he should start shouting at them and ordering them to do so. But, they must already be under strict orders from Southgate not to.

If Southgate makes numerous changes early in the second half it just goes to show he has lost the plot. We have world class players in that squad and we are losing to a team ranked 45th in the world.Palmer and Gordon have been outstanding last season and he keeps leaving them on the bench.

Should have sacked the clueless goon after the third game & rushed a replacement over there. I don't like the guy, but even Frank Lampard would have got more out of this rabble for the remainder of the tournament. And he plays the kids.

His assistant needs to have a word at half-time and tell the players they must start running fast, passing forward fast and attack the goal: basically ignore Southgate's instructions as it looks like all he does with them in training is endless sideways passing across the middle of the pitch

I am off now. This is turning me into a grumpy old man. My Mum always said, if you haven't anything nice to say, don't say it. I really don't have any kind words to say about this.
