3 wins in 43 games, goals for, goals against. 08:51 - Sep 23 with 2847 viewsGRIM

Our record of just 3 wins in 43 games is unbelievable, but is it a record. ?
Also what are the stats for goals scored & goals conceded in those 43 games.
I'm not a stats man, but I'm sure that some of you could answer this.

It's 3 in 44 after the defeat at Hull .

Goals: 35-95

The Hull score was our average: the opposition scores approximately 3 times as many goals as we do. But, they have centre forwards, which isn't fair. Meanwhile we continue to collect more wide midfield players (maybe we're trying to break some sort of record for that), who neither score goals nor stop them. The goals against would have been well over a hundred, maybe even 120, if we'd hadn't had Ramsdale in goal last season.

But, we can all breathe a sigh of relief. It's not a record: Derby had 2 wins in 44 games 2007/2008.

One of our Social Media ‘ball experts’ should have the stats you are after. Try Alex Comber or one of his ilk…..

Come on what’s a matter with you, can’t you see that you’re missing the point ?

We do seem to be following very much in that record-breaking Derby team's footsteps. I guess we can take some encouragement from the fact that they eventually managed to finish 18th in 2008/09 and so avoided consecutive relegations.

And the players are just as frustrated with the club's inability to get a striker. Read between the lines...

Fraser- I wish we had a striker.

Will Still - I'm happy with the strikers.

An experienced player who.plays the game knows we need a striker. His manager, who has never played the games disagrees.

We got the Sport Republic/Ankersen perspective on this in a post from 'Tonyfromdk' before the Pompey game, albeit in his slightly imperfect English. The solution was getting more midfielders.

"Now my point is, a striker is only as good as the playmaker around him.
Take that away then a striker is crap.
After the transfer window and the acquisitions we’ve got then maybe its the service they get rather they are prolific on their own"

Remember his motto, "embrace failure". Well, we're certainly doing that with Sport Republic's recruitment.
