| 2 Poor teams at Fratton Park 09:23 - Jan 26 with 428 views | PJK1972 | I think those of us that haven't woken up yet, need to. The 2 teams that played yesterday at Fratton Park were very poor, even if it was an improvement on the showing at St Marys earlier this season. To be slightly better than a very poor Portsmouth team should not be nothing to aspire to. They should have been at our mercy this season, instead we have come away with 2 bang average draws. Of all the players in the Saints team, we have to think about who we'd keep to get a promotion drive going for next season. Judging by the last 10 games, we are so way off a promotion level team it's laughable. I think we are just about on relegation avoidance level form. Sorry to come across as pesamistic, but this season has kind of worn me down. So who would you keep? (obviously apart from Leo, who I think everyone knows deserves the shirt.) | |

We edged out Sheff U on Wednesday and they cleaned Ipswich's clock on Saturday. Pessimism leads to weakness...Optimism leads to power. The next 6 wins from 7 run is just around the corner... .. I think... | | | |

As always the case for a club in the position we now find ourselves in, the players you want to keep will attract better offers and the ones you want shot of hang around until their contracts are up This season has been so disappointing, 50 odd million spent for this! Comes to something when my overriding feeling yesterday afternoon was relief that we didn't lose [Post edited 26 Jan 11:50]

The only difference of course being that Sports Republic’s laughingly called recruitment team spent £50 odd million in the summer and as far as I’m aware Portsmouth next to nothing. Don’t be concerned about being pessimistic, I for one feel the same and just like last season can’t wait for it to finish.Unfortunately, it’s what our club being in the control of Sports Republic does to you. Players to keep assuming relegation is avoided ? If Sports Republic went I would keep all of them other than those whose contracts had naturally expired. There’s a decent team in there somewhere that with a few sensible additions are capable of promotion, just not with the current owners. [Post edited 26 Jan 12:03]
