Totally agree, farcical situations like this happen at the end of every transfer window, it’s bonkers. The only explanation I can come up with is it is down, yet again, to money. Perhaps on the sellers side they think holding out will eventually panic a club desperate to buy into paying a higher price, or, from the buyers side they think holding back will eventually panic the seller into dropping the price if they are desperate to move a player on.
