Fuming!
We have a run of games at home now and given the impetus of at least a couple of good signings we would of have had a good chance of making the play off positions.
What have we done, bought a 30 year old striker who only played a few games last season and hasn't scored since I know not when.
Looks like we are selling Armstrong who's our best striker to help matters .
Forget the playoffs.

On a positive note we've moved out some players who weren't contributing much this season and brought in some money
I think Peretz is an improvement and I'm pleased to have Bree back in the side

Disappointed but not surprised with the striker situation, we're weaker than we were at the start of the window imo and are left with an out of form Archer who's been pretty disappointing, an injury prone Stewart and by the looks of it this Canadian mush who we've just got to hope can contribute something

What this all means, who knows?
Are we having to be prudent due to being hamstrung by previous poor recruitment? Are the club preparing for a long stay in this division by starting to get some of the bigger wage earners off the books? or are they cutting their losses in preparation for selling the club in the summer?

Good assessment. This window is clearly financially driven presumably with the expectation that we will need to cut costs again in the summer. The data must be saying no promotion this year.

And so the decline continues with our club under the control of the current owners and their employees at Sports Republic.

Another window passes since Ings left and still we haven’t got a proven goal scorer. In fact exactly the opposite assuming that Armstrong has in fact been transferred to Wolves this evening.

Any realistic chance of a top six finish passed months ago so at best it’s mid table mediocrity from here on in.

Given that it’s evident that a large number of season ticket holders can’t be bothered to occupy the seats they have already paid for this season, it’s going to be interesting come the summer when it’s renewal time.

If the current owners remain in place we are destined to become the new Preston North End or Stoke City, just another under achieving, under supported, club that most people don’t even realise or care exists.

Poll: Saints v Sheffield Utd. Predict the Result.

I’m hoping Ross Stewart stays fit, but I doubt it

I’m hoping Larin suddenly starts scoring for the first time in 4 seasons and stays fit, but I doubt it

I’m hoping Archer finally delivers for the first time since 2022/23 season but I doubt it

I’m hoping 19 year old Oyekunle scores 10 plus goals before the end of the season, but I doubt it

I’m hoping we avoid relegation………………..
