We played really well in the first half. It was a really good game to watch. A few errors led to the first goal. Lacked a cutting edge up front.

Second half we laboured. We came back into it but left ourselves wide open to a counter attack at the end.

I think Leicester edged it really although a draw would not have been an unreasonable result.

Smallbone was excellent, I just hope his injury is not as bad as it looked.

Ralph has worked miracles but we need a bit more depth. Bench told a story, average age of 22, with two 32 year olds sat on it!

It was a frenetic and fairly enjoyable game except for the result. I thought Saints played well overall but gave too many balls away - allowing Leicester to break in characteristic style (luckily Vardy wasn't quite up to his brilliance or had enough support up front). Walcott and Stephens the two main culprits. In the Premiership if you lose possession, you're going to be punished most of the time. Walcott was ineffective in the central position and would probably have been better on the wing. Perhaps Long and Adams should have started up front. I also thought Saint were unlucky: not having the core of our team - Vestergaard, Romeu and Ings; Leicester seemed to get a lot of 50/50's from the Ref; Armstrong hit the bar; and Long was unlucky not to be awarded a plenty. Bednarek was as consistent as usual and Diallo seems to be improving match-on-match. Nevertheless , I felt that that Saints never posed much of a threat to the Leicester goal where Schmichel seemed to be on excellent form. I was impressed with a stalwart Leicester defence, particularly Justin who seems to be an international player in the making.

How to keep the score down, put Long on. Can someone let Ralph know that Long can't score, falls over and is perpetually offside? Seems pretty obvious to everyone on the planet except for Ralph.
