Pitiful support

What is the point in travelling up to Liverpool and then stand / sit in pretty much total silence. I could hardly talk for a day or two after a game when l was younger, fan base totaly different now , too many women and idiots filming themselves on mobiles, glad l stopped going.

Right, now that we have got a match to look forward to on the tv, what sort of stadium type grub is everyone going to get in to soak up the beer, and is your missus gonna kick off when you piss on the bathroom floor at half time?.

Going clay shooting tomorrow with some mates, just getting the traps out and charging the batteries and checking all the kit we need. Really looking forward to doing something l haven't done since lockdown, anybody else missing something ... apart from football.

Payback
at 14:58 28 May 2020

Lets hope that in the future there is some fairness in the way taxes are going to be hiked to pay for all those furloughed on 80% of wages. How can it be right for all those workers and essential workers that have been working on as normal through lockdown, usually low paid, to be expected to pay the same towards the debt of those sat at home doing nothing. Of course l realise its more complicated than just that, and there are many other issues, but what would be fair?.

Lockdown is over !!!!
at 12:19 15 May 2020

As someone who has been working on and off since lockdown, l think l can safely say that lockdown is now over in the Eastleigh / C Ford area. It's heaving with people of all age groups out walking, shopping and standing close together talking, families out on bikes meeting other families on bikes and the kids playing together, while their parents talk, probably about how unsafe it is to send them back to school.
Maybe it should only be people who have been paid to stay at home who should have their Tax raised to help pay it back , and not the essential workers, would that not be fairer?.

Simple question for the left side
at 18:36 11 May 2020

If J C had won the last election and was PM now, he would pretty much be listening to and acting on the same medical advice as Boris is. What do you think J C would have said and done differently, and would you have followed his advice more willingly.

UK Death toll
at 18:47 6 May 2020

l think you will find that the reason the death toll is so high now, is simply because one of the new directives for issuing a death certificate states that " Covid 19 can be put on the death certificate on clinical balance of probabilities, without testing".
So somewhat open to interpretation or manipulation , so not really accurate.

While waiting for the rain to clear the conversation in the sitehut today centered on the future of air travel, cost and destinations, and how it could affect people who own second accommodation around the world, sounds selfish and petty l know with all that is going on, but it is something else that could causes financial hardship for some..... anybody on here that it could effect ?

Life after lockdown
at 20:47 15 Apr 2020

As most of you lads on here seem to work in a office based situation, do you think that it will be more easy to work from home in future, I say this because my wife works for a local council and has been working from home for about 4 weeks, during conference calls it has been noted that work output has increased during this time.... less time chatting at the office coffee machine.. smoking breaks... sick time... time off looking after sick kids. Is now maybe is the time to reset life work balance ?
