Third inspection planned at Sixfields - updated
Third inspection planned at Sixfields - updated
Saturday, 4th Dec 2010 10:22

County will now have to wait until 1:45pm to see if their game against Northampton Town will take place. Match referee Jonathan Moss will undergo a further inspection after undertaking checks at 9:30am and 12:30pm.

The goalmouths at Sixfields are causing concern for the referee so hopefully the third inspection will be the final inspection of the day and the game will be given the go ahead.

ORIGINAL STORY....

County's game at Northampton Town is the subject of a second pitch inspection. Referee Jonathan Moss has already inspected the Sixfields pitch once today at 9:30am, although there are one or two areas that are causing concern.

The second pitch inspection will take place at 12 o'clock and speaking on Northampton's official web site, the referee commented:.

"The majority of the pitch is good. There are just some small areas of the pitch that need some attention, and the groundstaff will work on those this morning. The temperatures are rising and we just need to take another look at noon to check everything is okay to ensure the safety of the players."

If the game is called off after the second inspection then it will be a big disappointment for the County fans as they will be well into their journey by then.
