Late Walk Up Expected

The excitement is building.

Nigel Adkins has talked about the crowd raiing the roof at St Mary's on Saturday and lifting the side towards its first opening day home win in 23 years and it looks like this could be the case.

Earlier in the week Saints indicated that they had sold in the region of 20,000 tickets to home supporters which when added to some 3,000 Leeds fans equated to barely above last seasons average gate.

However in the last day or so ticket sales appeared to have picked up and if they follow the patterns set during our last sojourn in the Championship we could very well get an attendance approaching the 30,000 mark which would be excellent.

Certainly business was brisk down at the ticket office this afternoon and the seating in the Kingsland appeared to be a lot more full than it had been only a few days earlier.

The good times on the pitch are heading back to St Mary's, Im sure that Saints fans will start to respond.
