Saints to enter the loan market? Thursday, 10th Nov 2011 14:47
Nigel Adkins has refused to rule out strengthening his squad ahead of the emergency loan window closing.
There is now just two weeks left before the market closes. Afer the window slams shut Saints will have to make do with the squad as it stands.
Some fans may wonder if we need to dip into the loan market anyway but perhaps Nigel Adkins can see an area that needs strengthening. Maybe Nigel has a loan target in his sights hence the refusal to rule out an addition.
“We’ve got to try and stay as strong as we can,” said the Saints boss when asked about any potential moves.
Do Saints need to bring someone in on loan, or can we wait till January?

Dont think we need to make a loan signing for the sake of it, but if the right player is available then why not. Another CB or striker would be the only area where we could get caught short if we get serious injuries or suspensions.

In the last window I've have said definitely, but fortunately I'm not NA. I think JH has done really well since joining us and the slating he got from Celtic fans from games played for them. If we could get another diamond like JC I'd say go for it, otherwise I think we're good with what we've got.

As Giblets O Slingum in might have once sang ...... a loan, a gain ... naturally. Lets hope NA doesn't do a Quantum Jump and goes for The Loan Ranger back from Newcastle Jail.

BOURNEMOTH'S TURNING RED & WHITE!!! Being a lifelong Saints fan & season ticket holder living in Bournemouth, it's great to see so many Saints shirts, Saints car stickers, and Saints leisurewear being worn in the area. I can honestly say, I see more Saints fans proudly wearing their colours than B'mth at the moment, and not a Pompey shirt in sight! C.O.Y.R.

Blogs 31 bloggersKnees-up Mother Brown #19 by wessex_exile February, and the U’s enter the most pivotal month of the season. Six games in just four weeks, with four of them against sides also in the bottom six. By March we should be either well clear of danger, or even deeper in the sh*t. With Danny Cowley’s U’s still unbeaten, and looking stronger game on game, I’m sure it’ll be the former, but first we have to do our bit to consign Steve ‘Sour Grapes’ Cotterill’s FGR back to non-league. After our shambolic 5-0 defeat at New Lawn, nothing would give me greater pleasure, even if it meant losing one of my closest awaydays in the process. What’s the excuse going to be today Steve – shocking pitch, faking head injuries, Mexican banditry or some other bit of sour-grapery bullsh*t? Southampton Polls |
