Every year the Ugly Inside runs its prediction league, its simple to enter and usually a small prize at the end.

The great thing about the UI Prediction league is that we keep things simple, for every league game all you need to do is predict the score and the first goalscorer for Saints.

Scoring is simple too and with bonus points for the correct goals scored it means that a few good predictions can push you right up the league.

Scoring: If you predict the result of a match accurately (eg. 3-1) you get 3 points plus a bonus of the number of goals in that game (eg. 3+1 = bonus of 4). Otherwise, if you just correctly predict the outcome correctly (ie. home win, draw or away win) you get one point. Finally, if you guess the correct first scorer for your team then you get 2 points.

Predictably, no pun intended, most entrants so far have predicted a defeat for Saints in our first game at City, although some have gone for the draw and a few die hard bus passengers have us down for a win.

This season will be perhaps the toughest of recent years, to be blunt the last couple of seasons have been quite easy in that we won so many games, this year will be different and will take a lot more than simply predicting a win for Saints.

Its eay to register to take part as well, all members of the site can do so by clicking on the interraction button on the nav bar above and selecting prediction league, as long as you are logged in you can then put down your predictions for the next game.

For those newbies of casual readers of the site who want to take part, its as simple as registering as a member and logging in, there are no waiting periods whilst we verify memberships etc.

st_bangkok added 13:29 - Aug 15 It will be a way different from last season when most games the majority predicted wins. This season i think we are gonna see a big swing toward defeats. I wonder how many if any will seriously predict a draw or away for this coming Sundays game at Citeh?

Example, if i got all results correct, that would be quite stunning but still worth less than some one who get the scorer right on say 5 occasions, bad example but i hope you can see what i am trying to say. Some one could spent most of the season getting the results wrong, but often getting the score or scorer correct and beat some one else who got all the results right and that to me is not quite right. I think getting the result right is worth more, a bonus system should exist of say half a point per game accumulated every ten games.
