Midfielder injury blow as injury prone midfielder moves on Thursday, 23rd Aug 2012 19:33 Leeds could be without Paul Green for up to eight weeks with a knee injury, luckily there is plenty of space in the treatment room as Robbie Rogers has moved out on loan until January. Neil Warnock revealed Green's knee injury was far worse than we thought and results of a scan means he may be sidelined for up to eight weeks. The chronic situation Warnock now finds himself in means he will seriously have to consider the emergency loans market which opens in September, depending of course who is holding the purse strings at ER when that day comes upon us. Leeds are even having to haggle hard with El Hadji Diouf! Warnock has admitted we cannot offer him a salary to "retire" on and said today that he has been selling Leeds to Diouf on the size of club and stadium rather than salary. Talks are said to be ongoing with Diouf and his representatives, however the rate things are going I would not at all be surprised if he fixes himself up elsewhere. Warnocks resources were further depleted today when Robbie Rogers moved to Stevenage on loan until January. Rogers has barely featured for Leeds since joining last January from Colombus Crew. He did come on as a sub for the Doncaster game last February, but was carried off with a nasty head injury just minutes later. Having come on as a sub at Reading on Good Friday, he finally got his debut against Peterborough in April but limped off after 10 minutes with an ankle problem. Rogers was transfer listed on August 9th but a four-month loan deal is hardly going to leave Warnock flush with transfer cash is it? The omens are he will probably be back injured at Thorp Arch next week. Sorry if it's all doom and gloom but it is! If Ken Bates is still at the helm come September 1st we are heading for another disappointing mid-table finish!
