Jamaica coach claims Rudy Austin has not suffered a double leg break as initially feared.

Rodolph Austin has not suffered a double leg break, according to reports in Jamaica.

Iriefm an Internet radio station claim that Reggae Boyz coach Theodore Whitmore has played down fears Austin could be out for a long time. Whitmore apparently was in England at the weekend scouting players.

Austin has been in immense form for Leeds since signing from Sk Brann in the summer, however the sickening sight of him being stretchered off on 47 minutes was probably the most harrowing moment of a humiliating 6-1 defeat at home to Watford.

He received a standing ovation from the Leeds fans who have taken him to heart.

Neil Warnock initially stated in his post-match interview the 27 year old had suffered a "double leg fracture", however there has been no official word on his condition from Leeds as yet.
