Alexander applause to precede Lincoln game
Saturday, 6th Mar 2010 07:39

There will be a minute's applause before this afternoon's game with Lincoln City in tribute to Keith Alexander who died this week.

Macclesfield Town manager Keith Alexander died during the week following his side's game with Notts County, and supporters will be given the opportunity to pay their respects before kick off this afternoon.

The minute's applause will be particularly poignant to supporters of opponents Lincoln City, as Alexander spent two spells as their manager. He spent four years between 2002 and 2006 as boss of the Imps, and had a season as manager back in the early 1990's.
