News

(......Continued From Above)

The real hot potato in the line-up is will Hollins finally relegate Price to the bench after another hugely disappointing performance against Peterborough.

The crowds booing of him however was a disgrace, no matter how poor the display, if their in a white shirt then you have to support them any way you can especially in the position we find ourselves in.

Expect Steve Jones to be fit again and play in the right back role, and hopefully Stu Roberts will keep Price out of the right wing role. Casey after coming on as sub against Peterborough should regain his place in the starting line-up after scoring the equaliser, and he gave the team more attacking options, at the expense of Jenkins.

Cusack should also return to starting line-up at the expense of Lacey. Walter Boyd should be fit enough to sit on the bench but don't count on it!

Player to watch: Brett Angell

Saddler.Net's View: A signing to give us something to think about for the new season. Brett Angell signed a two-year contract at the end of June 2000. We were after him on loan last year, but he was looking for a permanent deal and (allegedly) we were put off by his wages. Surprisingly, we beat off Preston who took him on loan during their promotion run-in, but wouldn't meet his wage demand. Brett is 6' 2" and his scoring record is excellent, albeit at Nationwide League level. His scoring record includes 94 goals in 235 games for Stockport over two spells and a goal every other game average for Southend. Big money moves to Everton and Sunderland though were relative failures, as he didn't make the grade in the top flight. His two loan spells last year, while under contract to Stockport, was 8 goals in 15 appearances for Preston and 5 goals in 6 matches for Notts County.

3 reasons why were going to win :

1. Unbeaten 3 out of 4; Possible form revival 2. Walsall been struggling of late 3. We convincingly beat them Boxing Day

3 reasons why were going to lose :

1. Wallsall's home form is formidable 2. Hollins might keep Price at Right back! 3. Defence still giving away silly goals.
