Announcement Regards Addison Imminent

Home > Story Index >Management Speculation

The Welsh media are again playing catch up and we know for a fact that Radio Wales have made contact with the MAGS for interviews as they expect a club announcement to be made within the next 24 hours regards the position of the current management team of Colin Addison and Peter Nicholas.
We look back 48 hours to our story regards some rumours from the Vetch and refer to the part of the article regards Peter Nicholas and links with Llanelli. These links have been looked into further and it appears that these are indeed correct and that the committee at Swansea are not happy with this incident which tends to back up any thoughts that Peter Nicholas will not be retained past the end of the season, if indeed he lasts that long. We also understand that Rhyader Town and TNS are monitoring the situation regards Nicholas at this moment with potential management jobs lined up ready if they are needed.
Now we move to Colin Addison. There is much speculation around the independent sites linking John Cornforth with Swansea City and you can only assume that there is no smoke without fire. Cornforth as we are aware holds Swansea City very dear to his heart and we know from our links that Corny would crawl back to Swansea on his hands and knees if there was something there so maybe that points to Addison being replaced?
There will be news out of the club both tomorrow and Friday we understand and we can only ask people to watch the relevant spaces to find out what is happening at the club. We have indications from our friends in the media and Radio Wales making contact with the MAGS adds fuel to the fire that an announcement one way or the other is imminent. We have opinions on this and although very much denied by the club, stories of ultimatums that appeared in National Media the weekend before last may not have helped the position. Colin Addison went on record to say that it was not his style and we accept what he said.
Last night's defeat at Shrewsbury bought much criticism in the match report of the style under Addison and this could point to a change on the cards? One thing I guess that we can be certain of is that with fans in charge of the football club then whatever happens will be for the benefit of the football club and that is something that should help us sleep easily in our beds.
Fans have asked for a dream team of John Cornforth and Nick Cusack to take charge and it would certainly be welcomed at JackArmy.net with open arms. We wait to see what the news from the club brings tomorrow and despite the phone conversations with the media today, our lips remain firmly sealed on what we believe to be the news.
For once, the news comes from Swansea City and tomorrow you will hear what they are saying.
