Rupert Lowe Poses Some Interesting Questions.

Has Rupert Lowe posed some interesting questions that need answering.

In his first interview since leaving St Mary's Rupert Lowe brought up some interesting points, now the first reaction of many would be to shout out that its a bit rich coming from a man who in their eyes started the rot that brought the Club to its knee's, that may well be the case but that doesnt mean that he doesnt have a good knowledge of our current predicament.

In the interview Lowe did not point the finger of blame on the Executives, Hone. Hoos etc, but squarely at the Non Executive directors including Wilde, Crouch, Corbett, Trant and McMenemy.

In particular he reserved the most vitriol for Michael Wilde, claiming that the man seen as the saviour of Saints after ousting Lowe had lead a smear campaign, that promises had been broken and saying about the Wilde manifesto Planning For Success, "

There's more untruths in there than any document I've ever read,"

He went on to say that instead of looking to the past and blaming him for the turmoil at St Mary's that fans should direct their questions towards those that assisted Wilde in ousting him about the Club's performance since, saying.

"Instead of asking questions of me, you should be asking Michael Wilde why he did not put any money in.

"You should be asking Leon Crouch why he decided to vote for Michael Wilde.

"You should be asking Keith Wiseman, Ian Gordon and Paul Thompson, all people who voted for the current administration.

Of course there are those that would dismiss Lowe as they blame him, but does he have a point.

There was a smear campaign against Lowe waged on the internet in the summer of 2006 and in truth we are seeing a similar campaign being waged against the Executive directors on the same message boards with various individuals claiming to be in the know.

My problem with this as people will remember in the articles I wrote in 2006 is that issues are being decided by these smear campaigns and not by the actual truth.

I dont know whether the Executives are running the club well, what I do know is that a load of S*** is being thrown at them in a smear campaign, I dont want the non executives to get involved with mud slinging, I want them to tell me why they could do it better, I want them to tell me why the SISU bid is bad for the Club, I want them to tell me if they could do better.

In short the future of Southampton Football Club shouldnt be about personalities, it should be about what is best for the club, when questions are asked of any individual involved, be it a request to meet with SISU or to explain why the Executives are bad for the club, it should be answered swiftly, truthfully and transparently, is there anyone out there that believes that all parties involved be they Executive or Non executive have adhered fully to those princibles ?
