Ticket News And New Discount Scheme

Swans Tickets All But Sold

Swansea City have announced that the match against Preston will now be an virtual sell out in the Swansea end with just 300 North Bank spaces and a few East Terrace tickets available.

The club have advised that all tickets for the North Bank have been sold but there are 300 places available on a first come first served basis for the Bank through the cash only turnstiles (13,14 and 15) tomorrow. Gates open at 1.45 pm Fans are also advised that they should purchase an East Terrace ticket in advance should they want entry - these will be available in the club shop until 12.30 tomorrow. All other turnstiles into the ground will be for ticket only entrance and the club is urging supporters to arrive at the ground early to ensure entry before the kick off time of 3pm.

Disappointingly, Preston, despite early indications of up to 2000 fans travelling are now only reporting that they have sold less than 1000 tickets meaning that the game will not be a sell out after all.

Swans players from the 1964 semi final against Preston have been invited by the club to tomorrow's game as their guests. Lee Trundle will also be receiving his award for being player of the last round of the competition prior to the match.

The club shop will also have on sale tomorrow any unsold tickets for the away game at Mansfield on 31st January.

Meanwhile, Swansea have released details of the scheme that will replace the discount scheme withdrawn a couple of weeks ago. They are introducing a new scheme for Passport to Leisure and Full Time Students. The scheme will still allow entry to the North Bank at league matches for £6 but only if a ticket is purchased prior to a match day from the club shop.

Supporters wishing to take advantage of this must supply a letter from their school, college or university stating their name and confirms that they are in full time education. Passport to Leisure holders must bring a valid card.

To apply for a club membership card fans must bring in the lwtters/card with a passport photograph and the membership card will be posted to them. Application forms will be available in the club shop from Monday. This card must be produced each time a ticket is purchased.
