So Who Is Going To The Play Offs?

So Who Is Going To The Play Offs?

As I see it there are 4 clubs vying for TWO play off spots, M d,Yeovil, Lincoln and ourselves which ever club gets there it will go to the last weekend as it always does but we have to get ourselves in a position to ensure the last home game against York is a game for us to have something to play for. The next 4 games are vital for us, all of them winnable but the Swans being the Swans we can as ever, expect the unexpected. Rochdale, Southend, Macca and Scunny are all there to be beaten and yes this may be self evident, but taking a quick look at other fixture lists on offer, and the importance of the next 4 matches puts things into sharp focus. Our friends from the Nottingham backwaters have 8 of the top 10 to play( admittedly most at home) and there is no doubt they will not win all of these, indeed they only face one side out of the top 10 in their next 7 games. We win all 4 then its in the pot and I think they will melt away as the pressure hots up. Lincoln are my dark horses with only 4 of the top 10 to play but their problems are that they play teams at the bottom and those games will be just as tight as if playing the top sides. However they are a very resourceful side and i would not be surprised to see them sneak that last spot Next up of course are Yeovil and they like us have 5 games against sides in the top 10 and so they are still in the prime slot to get to the play offs but there again is the season starting to take its toll on them, of course they are used to the amount of games but not at a higher level there is always 1 or 2 sides that fall away after a good solid 2/3 of a season and Yeovil may well come into that category M d, Yeovil and the Imps all play each in their own mini league, whilst we have our mini league against the sl gs and Lincoln. Its all to play for. I am bouyed by the performance against the league leaders last night and I am as chuffed as anyone over the return of one of our own in Stu, you could see in his eyes when he took his shirt off after scoring, he had come home and I think that Mr Maylett had better shape up cos he could be left kicking his heels and maybe even out of contract at the end of the season. I love competition for places and the fact that Murphy has come in and helped win us some points over the last two games has to be good also. Its time for everyone to step up and yes, us Jacks will do that as we always do but more importantly now, its up to the players to do their stuff. They should not need reminding they can play good football, they already know that, they only have to produce good performances for a further 1,200 mins( I have allowed for injury time) in total. League football is secure for next season( thats included for all you pessimistic Jacks) and so we can enjoy our football until the end of the season. yes thats what I said enjoy our football, I will never be as nervous over football as I was last year so its time to start smiling. We could be 21m in debt and rising but we're not so there you go. Due to commitments Watch will only be at the Carlisle for the rest of the season so it'll be good to try and catch up with as many JA that afternoon and as its GASVV buying the first beer thats as good as an invitation to enjoy C,mon the City !!!!!!!
