Swans Set To Unveil New Sponsors

Swans Set To Unveil New Sponsors

The believed name of the sponsors have been mentioned several times on the message board already and it is understood that they are a national company with links in Swansea who have already shown a keen interest in Swansea.

The club are expected to make their official announcement on Wednesday morning at which point they will unveil the new strip for next season which it is hoped will be in stock for the new season in the club shop. Once the announcement has been made then it is expected to be a matter of days before season tickets are ready for collection/delivery from the club shop ahead of the opening game with Northampton two weeks on Saturday.

It was announced back in May that the Travel House would not be renewing their sponsorship deal for the last season at the Vetch. The exact reason for the change is not known but it is widely believed that more than one company showed an interest in taking over the deal hence the longer than expected process to make the announcement.

Meanwhile Kenny Jackett takes his side to Barry Town tomorrow night for the second of the club's pre-season friendlies hoping to build on the Swans 3-1 win at Worcester on Saturday afternoon. Barry, many times League of Wales champions have fallen from grace somewhat through severe financial trouble and ended last season bottom of the Welsh Premiership. They do however have a decent record over the Swans having been beaten just twice in the last seven encounters. This though is a different Swansea and any fans travelling will be hoping for a few goals to mark the occasion. Lee Trundle is expected to play some part in the game as he works towards full fitness again.
