The King Alfred is under new ownership.

The Saints Trust are pleased to announce that they are to continue their tenancy in the upstairs bar at the King Alfred as it starts its life under new owners.

The new matchday HQ has proved a hit with Trust members and their guests with its ideal mixture of reasonably priced drinks,Sky TV along with a friendly atmosphere and has already attracted a regular crowd.

Perhaps the only gripe from the regulars had been the problems with the beer, however this has already been rectified and those who used the bar on Wednesday found that all of the pouring problems are now solved and that a much better pint has been the end result. 

The new owners are keen to continue and develope the relationship between the Trust and the Pub and will be sitting down with the Committee over the next few weeks to discuss how members can get more benefit from the partnership.

But in the meantime the Upstairs bar will be open as usual from 12.15 for Trust Members, guests are welcome as are potential members who can join on the day if they wish, committee members will be available to talk to both members and guests to discuss how the trust can help them and indeed the football club itself.
