Steve Watt looks set for a deal at Ross County when his Swans deal runs out

Watt has been told that he will not earn a new contract at the Liberty and he has joined training at Ross County as he bids to earn himself a deal.

Watt has been very much a passenger at Swansea since being signed by Kenny Jackett and spent last season on loan at Inverness Caledonian Thistle but only made the one appearance.

Watt could take part in a friendly against Crawley and manager Derek Adams said "Steven Watt is training with us just now. We cannot sign him as he is still running out his contract with Swansea City. His contract with them runs out at the end of this month.

“He was never taken on trial. He is a player I want at the club and I was trying to work out the best possible solution to bring him here.

“There is a good chance he will play against Crawley Town today.

“He has been at Chelsea, has played for Scotland under 21s, Caley Thistle and Swansea City.

“He has a good pedigree and will add to the squad we have at the club if and when we get him."
