Garry Monk insists that is defence that the Swans need to ensure is tight whilst letting the football take care of itself

Monk bounced back from the unfortunate red card he got at Charlton last weekend to lead his side to their first Championship win last weekend against Nottingham Forest.

And he looks to double that tally tomorrow at Plymouth when the Swans entertain the nation in front of the Sky TV cameras which could also give the Swans their first away success of the season after the endless wins on the road en route to last season's League One title.

He insists that it is at the back the Swans need to be at their best though as he thinks football comes very naturally to the team - a statement that is hard to argue with when you consider the free flowing way they caused both Forest and Charlton problems.

That in itself is the result of 18 months guidance from Roberto - football seemed to be pretty low on the agenda before his arrival in February last year.

Speaking in today's Evening Post, Monk said "I've said to the rest of the players that we don't have to worry about the football side of things

"It's the other side of the game where we need to toughen up. I'm not just talking about defenders, although they will usually get the blame just like strikers get the blame if you don't score enough goals.

"We all have to work hard to make sure we don't concede, whether it's at set-pieces or in open play.

"We all have to do our bit when we're not in possession. If we do that we'll do well, because the football comes naturally to this team."
