Ferrie Bodde played the "Get Out Of Jail Free" Card for the Swans on a disappointing afternoon at the Liberty Stadium.

Bodde was on hand three minutes into four of stoppage time to convert Angel Rangel's square pass to earn the Swans a point as it looked as if they were heading for defeat at the Liberty Stadium

For all the money in the world it looked as if it would be a blank for the Swans in the league at home for the first time in twenty games until Bodde's later intervention as they struggled against a well organised Burnley side with poor performances from too many individuals standing out on a hot sunny day in Swansea.

Roberto had rung the changes from the side that started against Derby in midweek with Fedo Bessone, Shaun MacDonald, Andrea Orlandi and Gorka Pintado all coming in meaning no place for Painter, Butler, Gower or Scotland although two of that four were second half substitutes.

The first half took a very similar shape to the first half against Derby with the Swans getting plenty of possession but struggling to get any shots on goal and it was no real surprise to see it end blank.   Burnley for all their efforts were keen to spoil the game where possible with niggly little challenges designed to stop the flow of the game - a tactic which certainly worked for them.

In fairness though they were the side getting shots on goal and whilst Dorus was potentially never really under real threat in the Swans goal he was at least forced into action by the counter Burnley attack.

Both sides made a substitution at half time although the Swans did not clear that with the fourth official and Gower (on for the disappointing MacDonald) was booked for technically entering the field of play without permission.   He and Orlandi soon swapped wings leaving Gower on what appears to be his favoured left side as he got far more into the game then I would have said he had done in his previous performances.

Of the other new starters on the day Pintado and Bessone were also disappointing whilst Orlandi never seemed the threat we know he can be.   The Swans midfield were also being neutralised by Burnley to such an extent that Leon seemed to be more involved in his defensive duties than any attack that the Swans could build up.

Burnley took the lead with around half hour left when Joey Gudjonsson rose to head home a precise chip by Wade Elliot. Elliot had broken free of his man Bessone whilst Dorus again seemed out of position and in no mans land when the cross came into the area.  One nil to the visitors not against the run of play but this was always going to be a tight game.

Roberto responded by introducing Gomez for Pratley and his impact was almost immediate as he laid on some good passes and the Swans attacking ability seemed to go up a notch.   Jason Scotland replaced Orlandi with around twenty minutes left and he offered another option for the Swans as they chased what looked like being an elusive goal.

Burnley were sitting back more and more and allowing the Swans at them but a lack of what appeared to be creation was looking almost certain to cost the team as the game drifted into injury time.

That was until Mark Gower found Rangel with a long cross field pass and the defender looked up to see Bodde coming into the box and he squared it for the Dutchman to fire home and give the Swans a point that many will tell you we didn't deserve.

A disappointing afternoon at the Liberty with too many poor performances from too many players.   We are a better team then the performance suggested but something at the moment has stopped working - the sooner we correct that the better.

Onwards, upwards and another point.....
