Owen Coyle says that the late equaliser at the Liberty makes a draw feel like a defeat

He told the official Burnley web-site:

"I'm disappointed by conceding a late goal that's for sure. I think Swansea away is a very tough fixture, Roberto has some fine players but I felt we handled them reasonably well in the game

"The work ethic we had was terrific and we had a nice shape to us, whilst also looking a real threat going forward and we scored a wonderful footballing goal.

"I think we should have seen the game out, we certainly had for 94 minutes and I found the added time strange given that two of those substitutions were at half-time.

"Regardless of that, you are obligated to make sure you see that game out and we had a wonderful opportunity in the last third to use our experience and capability to win a game, but I think we've made the wrong decision and they have hit us on the counter attack.

"We have paid a heavy price for that little bit of naivety. We contributed a lot to the game and it certainly feels like a defeat given the nature of the late goal.

"We have worked ever so hard to turn the defence around and they have. I am generally gutted for the players because they put so much into the game and I think we deserved the three points.

"All be it that you are going to be under pressure at various times when you come here to Swansea because it's a tremendous atmosphere which is conducive to a real footballing environment.

"I think we stood up to everything they had to throw at us. Brian only had one very good save to make so it was pleasing to just limit them to a few opportunities."
