Angel Rangel admits says that he can't believe anyone is thinking of leaving following the arrival of Paulo Sousa

The right back has been tipped for a move this summer with Celtic and Manchester City linked with a move for the player already since the season ended.

And with Roberto a huge fan of the player there is also plenty of speculation that he could link up with his former manager at Wigan but that is not something that is on the mind of Rangel.

He told the Evening Post that the appointment of Paulo Sousa is a good one and will ensure continuity in style between the old and the new management teams.

"He was a world class player" said Rangel

"He liked to play beautiful football as a player and I think he wants that as a manager too.

"I don't think he will change a lot of things.  Maybe he will change the system but I don't expect him to change the way we play.

"We have worked very hard on that in the past two years and the players are at their best passing it around.

"Huw Jenkins has turned to Paulo because he knows his style is right for Swansea.  Will he change the players?  Every manager has his own ideas of players so we won't know that until we get together.

"I'm sure he will look at what he has got in the squad before making any decisions.   We will also have to see if any players are going because there have been rumours over the summer.  But hopefully they are just rumours.

"I don't think any of the players will be thinking of leaving Swansea right now.   I have not heard of any interest in me over the summer I am just thinking about Swansea right now - they are my priority

"I was shocked and surprised to see Roberto go to Wigan but now we have another challenge ahead of us.

"It is going to be a big challenge for him (Sousa) because of what we did last season.  But this season is going to be the biggest challenge of our careers."
