All the info for the die hards heading north

Brunton Park isnt a ground that Saints fans have had much chance to visit in the past few decades, in fact we have visited there only five times in competitive games in our entire history, so perhaps apt that we visit now in its 100th year.

With a capacity of 16,981 it could be said that its one of the better grounds in the division, although on one side the stand finishes short of the corner flag at one end of the pitch, whilst extending way past the flag at the other end, this is due to Carlsisle building it and then intending to move the pitch as they rebuilt other areas, this of course has not happened leaving one side looking rather odd.

Driving

The ground is easy to find. Leave the M6 at junction 43 and take the A69 towards Carlisle. After a mile the ground is on your right. The club car park (cost £2) can be found by taking the first right immediately after Brunton Park into Victoria Place and then turn first right onto St Aidans Road. Otherwise street parking

By Train

Exit the main side of the station and head down Warwick Road, its about a 20 minute walk.

Drinking

The Carlisle Rugby Club next to Brunton Park on the Warwick Road, has a club bar which allows in away supporters and is family friendly. Also near to the ground on Warwick Road is the Beehive, which serves a good pint of Theakstons. The pub does employ doormen on matchdays and for certain games away fans may not be allowed entrance, certainly away fans with colours may not be admitted.
